Mountain Creek is situated in the township of Vernon, Sussex County in the north western corner of New Jersey. Living up to its reputation as a four season recreation community, Vernon is also home to seven championship golf courses, the Elements Spa & Salon and the natural havens of Wawayanda State Park  and the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. Wallkill River is also home to a section of the fabled Appalachian Trail which runs from Georgia to Maine.
