Resort Closed for the Winter Season

We’re so honored to have hosted the first annual Hedda Memorial Ski Race on February 9th, 2019. For those of you who didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Hedda, she was one of the warmest souls in the Mountain Creek community and was a fellow racer who was lost far too young to a cruel disease.

Hedda Memorial Race 2019

The Hedda Memorial Ski Race is not just a ski race to celebrate the life of such a wonderful, young women but to bring the community together to take part in a special day that is so near and dear to the Ski Racing community. SO many families came together to make this day so wonderful is Hedda’s spirit. Racers aged 14 and under joined us for Giant Slalom race on Kamikaze plus a day of fun with face painting, smiles, a community cheering each other on all day long.

The day started with a forerun by Hedda’s brother and close friends while the crowd and all racers cheered on. Hedda’s little sister raced along with her close friends. Check out the video recap below.

Awards were given outside of the South Lodge with blue skies and the top ten children in each category receiving a very special medal. The Saturday evening sunset brought us a red, pink and purple sky showing us that Hedda was with us and warmed our hearts.

This summer, Hedda’s family is participating in the PMC Challenge, a 2-day cycling event across the state of Massachusetts, to raise funds for the Dana Farber Children’s Cancer Institute. The PMC contributes 100% of every dollar received directly to cancer research and care. It has become the largest fundraising event of it's kind - raising over $500 million over the last 38 years for The Dana Farber Institute.
