Resort Closed for the Winter Season

On January 12th, skiers and snowboarders of all ages came out for our KIND Bars and Boxes Rail Jam Presented by Launch Snowboards. Over 60+ competitors hiked, jibbed and got creative in The Arena on a set up built by the hardworking Mountain Creek Terrain Park Crew.

Competitors took advantage of practice to warm up and get acclimated with the set up. 

First up in the line up was our Grom Division which included over 10 skiers and snowboarders under the age of 13 who weren't afraid to step up to the plate and lay down some awesome tricks. On top of the leader board for the Grom Division was 12 year old Addison Hamer (1st place), Colby Clarkson (2nd place) and Zak McKernan (3rd place) with an honorable mention for our youngest competitor of the day Julian Voytilla. 1st place took home a Launch Snowboard, a 6 month supply of KIND bars, Oakley Swag and a Hat from Brooklyn Cloth. 2nd place took home a pair of Oakley Goggles, a Launch Skateboard Deck, KIND Bars and a Brooklyn Cloth hat and more. Third place took home a Launch Skateboard Deck, KIND Bars, and more.

Next on course was our Women's Open Division with skiers and snowboarders combined competing for a Cash prize. These women were dropping in and bringing the heat. On top of the podium we had Abby Ronca (1st place), Marina Alzapiedi (2nd Place) and Ari Morrone (3rd place) with awesome efforts from all of the additional competitiors. 1st place took home $350 Cash, a Launch Snowboard, a 6 month supply of KIND Bars, and $250 Gift Certificate to Brooklyn Cloth. 2nd place snagged $100 cash, a pair of Oakley goggles and a hat, KIND Bars, and a Brooklyn Cloth hat. 3rd place walked away $50 cash with a Launch Longboard, KIND Bars, a Brooklyn Cloth hat.

Moving onto our Men's Open Categories we're kicking things off with our Men Open Ski contestants who were fully sending the set-up whipping out their best tricks and impressive the judges with plenty of spins.  On the leader board, we had Harrison Hayenhelm (1st place) taking home $500 cash, a pair of Head Skis, a 6 month supply of KIND Bars and $250 Certificate to Brooklyn Cloth. Taylor McQuade landed in the 2nd place spot taking home $150 cash, Oakley Goggles, KIND Bars, and a Brooklyn Cloth Hat. In 3rd place, we had Matt McAndris taking home $100 cash, KIND Bars, Oakley Suspenders, Brooklyn Cloth Hat and a Launch Longboard.

And last but most definitely not least, our Men's Open Snowboard Category with over 40 competitors battling it our for cash and tons of prizes. This heavy hitting crew were impressive, creative and ventured to each feature highlighting their board control with spins, grabs and presses.

Taking the top spot was Tony Zezcuso (1st place) taking home $500 cash, a 6 Month supply of KIND Bars, and $250 gift certificate to Brooklyn Cloth. In 2nd place, we had Justin Kipilla taking home $150 cash, Oakley Goggles, KIND Bars and a Brooklyn Cloth Hat. Third place was swooped by our favorite 10 year old, LJ Henriquez competing against the big dogs and coming out in top 3. He took home $100 cash, Oakley Gloves, KIND Bars, a Brooklyn Cloth hat and a Launch Longboard.
